Freakin' sweet
Just downloaded the demos last night of the wavelabs TrackPlug and MasterVerb, and both sound excellent. The TrackPlug blows away whatever it was that came with Cubase LE (no big shocker there, I know), and, well... all the free VST reverbs I've tried out sucked something terrible.

An advantage of the TrackPlug (and all channel-strip type plugins in general, I suppose), is that your compression, gate, limiter, and EQ are all built into the same plug, so if you are using a limited system like Cubase LE (like I am), which has a limit of two plugs per channel, this frees up the second plug... before I was using the Cubase "dynamics" plug, and a separate EQ, neither of which came anywhere near close to the quality these guys exhibit.

The reverb went on a send channel, and the presets are even pretty decent, but the number of parameters is exhausting :) Didn't have much time for tweaking, but I was able to get good sound out it. Its worth trying the fully-deatured demos just for comparison sake, even if you already have good plugs you are comfortable with.

They also won't break the bank, and you can get 50% off the price if you are a student (I already emailed a scan of my student ID and got a coupon code back for purchase). I don't work for wavelabs, just thought I would share my excitement at finding some decent sounding plugs.

I just tried their (Wave Arts, btw) restoration suite yesterday...I really liked that one too.

Damn, can't download from that site at work apparently.

I don't mean to say there aren't free plugs out there that sound good, even great - I just haven't come across any reverbs that were well-designed and sounded good (to me, anyway). I'll check those out later - fortunately I won't be purchasing the wavelabs plugs for a little bit, so perhaps I'll find something I like before then. However, at half-off, 50 bucks for the MasterVerb is a nice price for what you get, at least from my limited experience thus far.
