I was playing with the Wavelab 5 demo last night, I have to say it was pretty sweet. I love the interface, very simple, very intuitive. I am extremely stupid when it comes to excessively complicated interfaces
So then I fired up the native plugs--man, that multiband compressor is a scary tool. I pulled up a tune I mixed four years ago, I figured it probably wasn't that loud, but hey, I managed -14dB RMS with -0.25dB peaks without really knowing what I was doing! But then I set the "FM Radio" preset loose on it--BAM! Instant -10dB RMS! Actually from the look of the wave, I thought it would be worse
Anyway, despite the "quality" of that preset, I think I'm sold on this. So tell me, what are the best tricks you've found? What is your usual workflow in Wavelab?
