Wavelab 3 CD (fake?)

I recently purchased a wavelab 3.0 CD-rom on ebay. I asked the seller if it was legal and they said yes, so I bidded and won. I recieved it today. And am getting worried it may be a fake. Note that it is a "silver" real cd. the top of the disc is yellow and just has "WAVELAB 3.0" printed accross the top of it. In the inner circle where companies usually print a code on the silver part of the cd (the inner silver ring) it has "WAVE 3.0" printed on it. I have no idea what to think. What should I do?

Sounds like a fake. I got the official upgrade from Steinberg and there's fancy graphics on the CD. But it probably works perfectly fine, assuming you have the authorization code. What did you pay if you don't mind my asking?
