Wavearts

I have the WaveArts FinalPlug on my short list of plugins to purchase. I've tried the demos of several of their plugs and in my opinion their stuff sounds really good.

Thanks Al. Looks like tonight will be demo download night :D
Btw, the reason I'm curious about WaveArts is because I'm looking for something that will natively go along with the quality of a UAD-1 card. Voxengo, Kjaerhus and Elemental Audio plugs are great but none of them made me want to spend money. Right now we usually call on the UAD-1 for their color or fairy dust, while Sonar's Sonitus plugs are used more for transparency. I'm hoping the WaveArts might do what the Sonitus plugs do - only better :) Plus, WaveArts offers an educational discount.

I find the WaveArts FinalPlug to be very transparent, which is exactly what you want out of a plugin like that. I actually sold my hardware L2 after I downloaded the FinalPlug demo. You should definitely dowload some WaveArts demos. I'm *very* picky about which plugins I buy, and FinalPlug is one of the few that has made the list. I only own a handful of plugins because very few make my ears happy!

Man, ill tell ya.
As of late the Wave arts stuff is just exploding!
Everyone seems to be raving about thier plugs, and their price to boot.
I finally downloaded the demos last night, im looking forward to trying them out too. :D

The track plug is awsome, reminds me of channel strip from metrichalo great stuff-just works the way you think it should with great results. I didn't quite grasp the final plug however. Guess I will need to re try it, since I only tried the presets
Good part is they are low on CPU munchies.

Well put me in as one of those people raving about Wavearts plugs. I was dying for a decent reverb and only had dverb to work with and didn't wanna fork over 500 bucks for a decent one. So I tried out the new Masterverb5, within about 10 minutes I was sold, also tried the multidynamics5, again 10 minutes and I was sold. I can't believe how cheap the price is for the quality. I'm about to replace everything I use with wavearts plugs. Their customer support and forum are top notch also, I'm having a small, unusual problem and they're right on top of it and should have me at 100% by tomorrow. Love the Wavearts plugs and highly recommend them to anyone on a budget or just looking for quality plugs. I think I'm going to go buy trackplug now.

Just wanted to add, I bought Trackplug5, I wish I would've had this plug from the get go, 10 bands of eq, limiting/compression, man what a great plug. Rob from Wavearts also just emailed me a fix for my problem, man all I can say is this is by far the best experience I've ever had when it comes to buying audio related stuff. I have a feeling this company will do very well if they take care of everyone the way they did me, not to mention their plugs are outstanding. BTW just loaded trackplug on every track of a mix with no problems, some with compression some without, probably had 15 instances going, very nice.

Tried out the WaveArts demos last night and came to the conclusion that they are very, very nice ... but decided against buying them. I didn't find much benefit over my current choices of UAD-1 card and the Sonitus suite.
That's not to take anything away from the WaveArts collection, it's just that their magic overlaps with what I already have. Think I'll save my software budget for upgrading to Wavelab 6 when that comes out first quarter of 2006, and possibly the UAD-1 Precision MB.
Again, thanks for all of your recommendations.
