Download the graphical front end for LAME, called "razorlame". Makes things much easier to use.

I usually use DBpowerAMP, but I get an error when converting wav to mp3, that I'm missing the needed codec.. Hence this thread.. Any idea why?

The simplest thing may be to uninstall it and download and install the latest version.
