Iknow this has been asked before, but I've got a new twist that I havnt seen answered here.

I have an HP 7200 series CD Writer Plus, about 2 years old. Our current project is to convert our LPs to CD, and we have conquered the task of getting them from the LP to wav files on the hard disk. We have both Easy CD Creator and CD Creator Deluxe and both will copy the wav files to CD-RW disks, which when closed will play on our stereo CD player. But when we try to write to a CD-R, the whole thing craps out, with error messages that indicate that some command could not be done. Have contacted HP and they suggested I run scandisk and defrag, both of which I've done. And I've turned off everything on the task list except explorer.

Tried again. Still get error message.

Help!!! And thanks in advance.

What error message are you getting, specifically?
Is is a "Buffer underrun"?
Need to know so I can help you further!

follie, this sounds like a very interesting problem. :)

Like DJ said, you will have to post the "error message".

Once that is posted, someone on this BBS should be able to assist you.

Have you been able to burn things other than the records that you're trying to put on CD? I had a HP burner a few years ago (i think it was a 7200) that just died...I'd get error messages every time I tried to burn anything...After about 50 wasted cds, I figured out that it was just the piece of crap burner :)
