I am interested in looking at a digital recorder like the roland's, yamaha's, etc.
I have a mac powerbook and with editing software would like to record with the recorder and send it to the mac for further editing and burning to CD.
My question is with mac being aiff files will wav files going into it not work.
(most of those recorders will accept aiff files but send them out only as wav files..which makes me concerned)
Any responses would be appreciated. :)

what editing software are you using?

with the editing software, you should be able to open it up as a .wav and then save it as an .aiff file. It's easier nowadays, I know wavelab will let you. If not, there has got to be some shareware/freeware that will let you save in different formats (aka: the chicken systems sample translator)
