It seams that you overcompressed the drums, because there is a lack of dynamics on it, and that also stand out the cymbals too much.

I didn't like the guitar tone, maybe is the PodX3L thing, but is like a guitar rig sound, that's ok for metal songs, this ones need more warm tones (for me).

As a newbie that likes rock, i liked the song over all

good beat, nice vocals, good strings, But

I have to agree on the drums, to me the snare sounded to high for that song, or the rest of the set sounded to low or compressed.
