Heya guys!!!
OK, I'm still the world's biggest loser (well, maybe not the biggest...ever seen the clothes that that Santa dude wears???).
I have so much to do/learn/buy/remember. Lately, it's been trying to get my guitar tone happening, first, just to listen (getting fairly close), and this weekend, I've been trying to get what I hear to Sonar.
What I'm hearing, before recording, sounds decent (if not killer), but there's a weird distorted 'warble' effect that happens when I playback, just on the guitars, not on midi bass or drums).
Here's an example:
Excuse the sloppy playing, most kindly, please
If this sounds familiar, the guitar is a continued jam on this: ). That's from when I just got my Boogie...do you hear an improvement over the last month of dialing it in? I hope so, even with the warbling distortion I'm getting in Sonar, I hope it sounds better.
Any ideas about what might be going wrong? Every meter I'm reading in under clipping level, even the metered effects. Windows/Creative mixer: no maxed out faders there, either...
(I'm still just farting around with this, I HAVE to go buy the real Sonar, even though it am terrible with it, cuz all my files keep corrupting...there's a lesson there boys and girls: bad things happen to bad people at the WORST times
)
I really really really really really really really want to start recording soon. I'm getting very discouraged. But at least there's still the songs in my head...they ain't going anywhere, they've been there for decades, so I'm really in no hurry.
Any idea on the warble? I honestly don't feed my computer ANY alcohol
