What's up guys?. I've been off the field for a while :). sorry about that question.

My english suc#s. Let's see if i can do this:

-----------

I know Getting a 002 would never be considered as a mistake.

but you never know what you've got, until's no longer with you. ( and of course, i'm talking about my delta )

It's a good card, and i love it, but i need a 002 as fast as possible, and i only will be able to get it fast, if i sell my 1010lt right now.

So my questions are:
Getting rid of my Delta, it's a bad move?
what do i have now with 1010LT/M-powered, that i won't have later in the future, with a 002/PTLE?
what can i do with my delta, that i can't do with the 002r?

Any other comment will be helpful.

Thanks

Your english seriously sucks. Take ESL and then post please.

Well, comments could be made about your punctuation too.
I understood him fine.

Anyway, underp...actually the Pro Tools LE gives you options that M-Powered can't give you. This includes more control surface options and support for Digitranslator and the DV Toolkit. Otherwise, M-Powered is pretty much exactly the same.
The 002 itself, however, will give you more options as far as inputs go. You get a total of 18 inputs. Eight analog inputs, two S/PDIF, and eight ADAT optical.

I personally think the only gain to getting the 002 is if you prefer the extra inputs and/or if you need the extra options Pro Tools LE offers.

with 002 youll lose a lot of workability with ASIO drivers, the Digi one is pathetic, so I would keep your M-Audio around if you need other apps for things

We are about to Ebay an 002R if it doesnt end up rented at a church my partner is working with. He might be selling it cheap enough where you dont have to toss your midiman

To be honest... my main concern right now, is:
-A/D converters
-noise floor.

PCI interfaces will always take some electrical interference, and i'm getting hum/buzz with the delta, at -69db because of this. ( with anything plugged in )

I don't know if the 002 will make things better in terms of A/D and electrical interference, or Maybe i'm just adding more problems moving to a 002.

I've also considered buying an Mbox1 just because of the electrical interferences with PCI cards. But again, i don't know if the A/D converters will offer me, better results than my delta.

this apply to the Mbox 1 too?

Not sure. The midiman ASIO drivers are marginally better than the digi ASIO ones. Many people have sucess with the midiman stuff. The digi drivers are hit or miss...ok for stereo, except that they like to disappear when you turn your back.

The digi drivers are GREAT for using PTLE though, dont get me wrong.

PCI interfaces do not always cause electrical iterference.

I used a 1010LT for a few years and never suffered any such thing.

And what do you mean by interference "at -69dB"?

Like bennychico says work out whether you need/want the addtional capability the 002 would give you over the 1010LT and base your decision on that.

noise floor is around -69db.

i'm catching some interference, hum, buzz, at that level, with my delta. ( nothing plugged )

-----

Anyway...

I've just realize, that all i need is a better 44.1 sound quality, cleaner signal, and less interference, hum, buzz recorded.

Can anyone tell me, if the MBOX1 offers better a/d conversion than a PCI interface like the delta?

Thank you.

The 1010LT is highly susceptible to electrical interference on the power/ground buses in its output path. Its input path is clean even with a fairly noisy logic board. (I used a 1010LT with a 1st gen PowerMac G5. Lots of noise in the output, but no trouble on the input side.)

PCI is inherently susceptible to any electrical noise inside your computer because it is a bare board without any shielding. There's no way to avoid this as long as the converters are on the card. The only way to get around that is with outboard converters. Whether these are on a FireWire interface or on a box that connects digitally to a specialized PCI card makes no difference, though, assuming the interconnect doesn't end up passing the noise.

That said, I'll reiterate that PCI is dead.

Dead, dead, dead, dead, dead.

If your anus wasn't so bubbly, maybe someone would play with you. Change your Pamper, and come back after you've been burped.

Notice the rolleyes??? That means you are cool. Remeber that.

Now I thought the soundblaster live stuff was funny, but apparently you're just a total prick. Haven't you got anything else better to do?

He has been everywhere doing this. Seems like every thread I read tonight this asshole is in it with his assnine remarks. I redded the jerk up....T-R-O-L-L......

That's why i'm so desperate, and i want to get rid of my delta, and get a cleaner signal. ( but i'm afraid of adding more troubles, by getting other equipment ).

I want something better, with option for future 8ch A/D converters, but also keep working with my protools.

---------

I'm trying to decide, between a 002r, and get stuck with that, until i have the money for an A/D.

or buy a FW1814 and some 8ch A/D.

Indeed. How the heck does somebody who acts like that get 14 rep points? It looks like maybe Dragon deleted him. His posts are no longer visible. A search for posts by that user show no posts. Either that or he keeps posting, pissing people off, and then deleting the post.
