Gotcha, I don't use MIDI at all, out of ignorance mostly, so I didn't know it was possible. Not to beat a dead horse but, is it easier than Drumagog, if you've used it?

I've heard of Drumagog, but have never used it.
I was looking for freeware stuff for Pat, but Drumagog looks
like it is nicely integrated to do everything smoothly.

And I thank you for the freeware suggestions. Maybe if I had more money I would get drumagog, but I just don't have that amount of money right now. (well I do but not for this purpose.) So do you know anything about acid pro 4 vectron? Should I basically just follow the steps for the cubase way and see if that works in acid?

I just looked at it now. Will this work the same in acid? I am really new at this. I probably would get drumagog, but I don't have the cash :(

Read my reply above.

As far a Drumagog-
If I were you, I would download and use the demo version which is fully functional for 14 days, and check out the
video tutorial at the Drumagog website. Still won't cost you
a cent.

I really don't know much about acid 4. I just got it recently. I need to find the disc that has the manual on it so I can find this information. I really am not interested in drumagog at the moment because of the price. I am going to try to experiment with some of that freeware tomarrow if I feel better. (got my wisdom teeth pulled)

Only if the Drumagog 14 day demo doesn't do the job for you.
Remember you have nothing to lose by trying, and will learn
a great deal.

Ok I found out that acid has VSTi support, I think. Is this all I will need to get that freeware to work?

Well I guess the one thing that I do have to lose is being able to use the trial on a more important project that may be coming up. This is just a demo I am working on, but I want it to be decent. Whatever should I do? :D

I take no responsibility for the following procedure, so do it at you own risk:
If you have Windows XP, set a system restore point
before you install the demo. After the demo expires,
deinstall the demo, then bring back that restore point, and then reinstall the demo again.

You are posting so fast, that I can't keep up with my edits.LOL
I checked Acid 4 and it can do DX, so don't even worry about the Drumagag4 VST version.

There are people that frequent this BBS that have a vested interest in that software, you'll win no friends with this kind of advice. The program is $99 dollars and is worth every penny of it. Try it out, if you like it splurge when you have some extra funds. You might not even like the program, I doubt it but it's possible. It will save you so much headache, give it a try. I'm done.

ez_willis, of course, you are absolutely correct. I guess I was just being a sucker for someone who needed help and had no money (because I've been there myself). But, I always recommend freeware first whenever possible, and never advocate cracks or reinstallation tactics. If he likes this program, he should absolutely buy it.
