Get yer mind outta the gutter!I meant my guitar.
Anyway,I was checking out the thread that metalhead started and it
got me to thinking.There used to be a time when I had the time to sit
and wank on my guitar for hours on end and experiment with all sorts
of sounds and tecniques.Now days I'm just a blues rocker and very
seldom do I practice outside of band rehearsal.
So last night I plugged in my recording gear(have'nt used it in mos)
and my guitar rig and drum machine,and spent some quality time wanking.
This is a little bit that came to mind that I have'nt fucked with in about

I call it Wankin' the Plank.

Anyone else got stuff that they have'nt thought about in a long time that
was once a regular bit?If so,post them.
 
Well, most of my rediculous playing is still a regular bit :D , even though I like to think I've got a lot more "soul" than I used to.

Good two handed wanking there!

I'm WAY past the Nuetron Finger Dance days. Instead of how many notes can I fit in a bar, I'm trying to say more with less. But that's just me. Wank on dudes!

Same here Track Rat.For a while in the 80's I tried the guitar acrobat thing
but eventually I realized that being a good guitarist is about expressing my-
self well.I decided then to take a back to basics attitude toward playing
and it was the best musical move I ever made.
I got rid of the Foyd Rose equipped P.O.S. guitar,ditched all of the effects,
moved to Memphis,got a tele,plugged it into my tube amp,and got myself
an education in Blues.
This post was more about a walk down memory lane than it is about the way
I play today.Just for shits and giggle really.

I love wanking, whether fast, and a million notes, or spmething very smooth and tasteful, and maybe only a few notes. All wanking is good. :D
 
As hammering on goes, well done my friend. I must admit that I used to love to go into music stores, pull a guitar off the wall and start hammering on and catching heads turn my way out of the corner of my eye. :D
 
Should I shorten it for a more "radio friendly" version?
