Anybody else checked out Walden?

Last week I bought a used one from a guy off craigslist (naturally I tried it first) - his add bragged up the tone/build quality, so I went on line and read what I could find (with some positive comments). I did not really know anything about Walden.

So - I'm pleasantly surprised. The guitar is well made (some small blemishes in the wood - but not extremely obvious), very playable and the tone is much nicer than I would have anticipated (some people compare to a Taylor - which in general I agree with).

I have a Taylor 110 (admittedly not a top of the line axe - but a decent low cost axe which does have the Taylor "chime"). I also have a Seagull S6 which plays well and records well. I have a higher end Takemine - but I don't think that is a fair comparison)

The Waldon (a $450 street price - which I got for $270 used) sounds and plays better than the 110 or the S6.

So - any other people pleasantly surprised by Walden???

I'm pretty sure it was a Walden that guitarjunkie was selling at one point. I really liked it and wish I'd had the money to buy it at the time. It had a really nice 'electric-like' neck. Of course, that's not to say that it would be true for all Waldens. I had never heard of them before, and that's the only one I've ever seen. But my opinion is always that if you like it, it doesn't matter what anyone else thinks.
