I'm curious as to why every song you do has the same timing (around 110-120BPM) and the Thump Thump Thump fake kick drum.
I noticed something similar when I was in Las Vegas last year poolside and they had a DJ playing music. EVERY song was the same. Thumping fake kick drum at around 120BPM. It wasn't that it was boring, it was actually irritating. At one point they started to play a Tom Petty song (what a relief), only to have an added thumping beat after about 30 seconds.

Thank you so much for listening to my track. I keep my bpm's around 120 because I've noticed that most tracks in this genre have that tempo. My tempo mostly varies between 120 and 140 (I know that's a pretty large variation but majority of my tracks are indeed between 120 to 128 bpm with a very few having that super fast tempo of 140 bpm or so) ! Also, I've tried so many kick drum sounds while experimenting in my compositions and I've found that this kick (or other similar sounding kicks) usually fit the tracks the best compared to other kicks (especially kicks that sound like the real live drums

I guess that's my question.... why does everyone do the same thing?
In the past couple of weeks, both you and Extra Terrestrial have posted several songs, and to be honest, they could be pasted together and I doubt that many people would realize they were different songs. Zypheris posted one that had the same beat, although he did tend to mix it up a bit. Still there was that 4/4 ~120BPM thumping undercurrent.
Obviously, this is supposed to be dance music, but dance doesn't mean everything is the same. Go back and watch Saturday Night Fever. Lots of dance tunes, but they vary a lot. I actually went to a few discos back in the day, and the music wasn't all the same thing.
This reminds me of a Mashup that someone did 10yrs or so back with a half dozen country songs where they went from one to the other and it was as if they were all the same song. Sometimes the formula just gets worn out. Maybe a different time signature would be interesting. Pull up a 100 BPM 3/4 beat and see what you could do with that.

Yes, I agree with you that songs in this genres are mostly 4/4 and around 120 bpm. It would definitely be interesting to try a different (slower) tempo and an odd time signature, as you pointed out. I actually created an odd time signature track couple of days ago (even had the tempo much slower at about 110 bpm) but I'm feeling unsure about how good of a composition it is. If I can improve it and make it sound worthy of sharing, I'll definitely post it here
