Wah making annoying noise

Hello kids!
I´m using my Jim Dunlop Cry Baby again and I am getting an awful noise when I "wah", when I go through the "middle" of the wah.

I tried cleaning it, but it didn´t work....

Anyone can help me?

I have an old JimDunlop Crybaby, and yes, it gets a very scratchy sound if not used for a while. You will actually have to open up the pot that is inside the pedal and clean the connectors. I usually use canned air to blow it out good. That usually works for me.
Sometimes those pots do need to be replaced, though.

I don´t know if must work, but I cleaned it with circuit cleaners and stuff like that...
Do you use just canned air?

yep, just canned air. But I opened up the pot itself and blew it in there. It worked a few times, but I think I am going to have to replace the pot. The thing is about 30 years old now.

If you can get inside the pot, contact spray would work too, I guess. The shop-dude once told me that those potmeters were closed, so you could only replace them.

Good to know you can open them. Can you still open them on recent models?
