W: drive?

Hi. In Windows Explorer, I notice a couple of new 'drives' have appeared. Both of them call themselves 'W:'

Clicking on Properties, I see they consist of no bytes at all, the file system's FAT, and they have no name.

I can't delete them.

Anybody recognize this?
 
check your network connections there, otherwise, run anti virus or trojan...

sorry about the vagueness, your issue sounds weird...

rebooting may do it, memory low, etc etc, donno...
 
Thanks for the ideas - I think the low memory idea is the one that applies in my case. I was down to less than 3 Gigs of free space on that drive, and after I freed up 3 more Gigs of space, the phantom drives disappeared from Explorer.
