Greetings!
I have encountered a small mystery that I hope someone out there can help me with. I am using Cubase VST/32 v5.1 with a Tascam US-428. With the US-428 - as I am sure with other DAWs out there - a pair of buttons allow me to select the active bank of eight faders. With audio, groups, and CTM (MIDI) tracks, the first such track is assigned to the Channel 1 in the 1-8 bank, the second track to the Channel 2 of the 1-8 bank, etc.
Last evening I noticed that when I install the first VST instrument track into a project it is assigned to Channel 65 in the 65-72 bank. Any ideas why this track wouldn't be Channel 1 of the 1-8 bank as well?
Obviously the work-around is simply to set Bank Select to 65-72 when I need to adjust the properties of my VST instrument track(s) but this doesn't seem proper. Thank you for any and all assistance!
