Vst Orchestra?

Hey everyone. I know i'm new and an idiot.....and i know you're probably getting tired of my stupid questions (though thanks for all your help, I'm finally getting things up and running!) Basically...can you get Vst strings? Or how would i go about implementing some orchestral sounds without booking the London philharmonic?

This is done all the time, there are many orchestral VSTs out there. Do a search on this forum and you will find tons of information.

A few google keywords to get you started: VSL, Garritan, EWQL, Miroslav, Synful.

Try out the free "SFZ" Soundfont player from rgcaudio.com (READ the instructions with it...)
Load it up with soundfonts from www.hammersound.net
If you need a full GM Orchestra (which has strings), try "unison" or "cadenza"
There are other specific strings there as well..
