Vsr-880 & Dif-at

Opinions are like SM-57s
I want to hook my Tascam TMD-1000 up to the Roland VSR- 880 through TDIF into the Roland DIF-AT Converter (enough acronyms for you e,i,e,i,o).

I can find no information about this converter... anywhere. Not even on the Roland Site.

My primary concern is that the description Roland provides for the R-BUS (RMDB2) proprietary format only indicates that the audio is sent at 24 Bit but does not specify bandwidth. I've read some posts from other VS users that state that they have to use 44.1 kHz to connect via R-BUS to other Roland equipment. Is this the highest frequency response that R -BUS supports.

I can special order the DIF-AT for about $300 but I'm not sure I want to pay that kind of jing if I can't get at least 48 kHz.

Anyone??

Thanks,

Steve
