VS880 - S1 (anyone?)

Just discovered that second-hand VS880 needs VS-880-S1 system expansion kit. Where do I find this? Will it make all the difference. I have tried RolandUS but got nowhere. I have downloaded VS880 3.20A from internet and am terrified to use it as it might just take all data away!
