Anybody use the new VS-2400CD yet? I'm considering getting that vs. a mac setup. I just want to be able to do my thing(make CD's) without dealing with computer problems all the time. I do that enough at work. Just curious. I'm still shopping.

Thanks.

I use the 1680 and love it. I thought about upgrading to the 24 series but, besides 24 track playback, it's really just a bunch of extras on there that I don't think I would ever use.

BIG disadvantage: no longer scsi bus for extension a.s.o. I'd rather go with a 2480, if possible. Ask over at the vsplanet.com - they have a 2480 forum... I did not like the feeling in that 2480 forum too much, though, when I was considering buying one (they seemed to whimp around alot and the rest was dissing). I got a cheap 1680 and use that together with my 880ex. But the advantages of the 24xxx are: better EQ and channel dynamics, more scenes a.s.o.

Ask there - I'm sure the guys who get everything that is new and expensive have left by now, and the rest should be helpful...

I have the non-CD version of the 2480, and I love it. I do alot of work on the road, and I couldn't imagine lugging a computer around.
