This is what was actually said.

Pay particular attention to how I am accused of telling him to "shut up". I believe I made a challenge for him to post his 'audiophile quality' work. "Put up or shut up" is exactly what was posted. Well geez, I guess I am guilty!

I am also accused of calling him an "idiot". That is totally wrong. I said, "Don't be a moron". That is not even a subtle difference, especially in the context of the post.

VOXVENDER, you should pay much closer attention to what I post if you are going to try to slam me. It is obvious that you are NOT reading what I am writing. You are reading what you WANT to read in my posts. I sure hope you don't engineer that way, hearing what you want to hear in the sound rather then what is actually there.

Oh, your excuse for not posting some of your "audiophile quality" work is lame as hell. Certainly you can really show how full of shit I am by posting some work of yours. I have been hearing all these Mackie owners 'talk' about great results. One little problem though, I am not 'hearing' those results in their work.

Your serve dude.....

Ed

Oops......it was moron, My typo... All is better now. You hope I don't engineer, just hearing the sounds I want to hear???... This was good, engineering advice from a person who gets distortion out of mackie boards, yet no one else has this problem..look man, we can cut the shit, and have fun here, or we can keep "serving" as you call it, the ball back and forth... I don't care either way... by the way thanks for starting this thread, I said i wasn't posting in that thread anymore, but this is GAME!... look man, don't try to save yourself now by posting this petty shit back to me..

Hmmm....

This is gonna end up a tag team match between bruce and vox vs. ed and whom ever! That would be rad!

When you use the term Rad, do you mean Radishes?..... I love Radishes dipped in salsa.... You?:)

See how i edited my above post to sonusman, can you believe, i got idiot and moron mixed up again.... so close, yet is there is a difference... At least this time i went back and fixed it.

Yes Vox I meant radishes. All the hip kids use rad, short for radish, because we all know radishes are packed with vitamins and minerals!

To Sonusman

Ok, Wally cleaver made me laugh... now Im in a good mood, and Im stepping down from this bantering....Sonusman-> Lets just come to the fact that we both dissagree with each other.. and Im sure we both have good points about the subject...and eventually there will be a subject we will agree on, and may even help each other.. I will just step down, and let you "win" this, Cause really this is silly, and that I allowed myself to let it go this far is embarassing. It was fun for a while, but I want to get back to the recording stuff.. My opinions, although as frank and forward as I usually am, are as valid as anyones, and so are yours. But just out of utter curiosity, you gotta Xplain that fuzz, from that mackie board..which board? was it the new 8 buss series ... and what monitors, and what type of environment... Maybe it was mackies bad wiring,(famous) and you had a bad unit .. and even I, The mackie lover of the day, have fell victim to their bad wiring... To answer an earlier question, i have a soundcraft 400b. If you really want to hear my stuff, it will be up in the next week or so, on my website... though I hate MP3's, if your as picky as I am on sound, im sure you know what i mean. Why can't we all go back to vinyl......

No,No,No..... cmon guyz keep this going... (fade in) a steel cage match..... Ed counters...heaves a D8B at VOX, VOX staggers, Bruce tags in and wallops Ed with a 6 rack space SKB filled with 3630's......(Steve Irwin the coc-hunter narrating....) CRIKEY, Ed appears down- just look at the size of his noggin....a big and powerful beast, mate.....but no Ed manages to get to his feet....what's this... he's grabin' Bruce AND VOX and,and...HE'S singing to them with a RatShack mic thru a 1202 FULL GAIN UP!!!! NO ROLL OFF!, Mate, NO ROLL OFF I tell you, their ears are bleeding..... pourin' from their melons, CRIKEY!!!!!, ED just dropped another octave....No,No...this can't be... is he?.. Oh no,he,he....my GOD....ED going for the kill.......HE's bouncing to ADAT... with, with.... EHHHHHH ADAT EDIT PCI........

We just need some cleavage....... how does Dragon look in pumps? Anyone... Anyone....

Is Vovender a sensationalist Liar?

The following written by Voxvendors alter-ego...."Joe" As one should defend oneselves alter-ego.. After reading the above message posted by sonusman with the links to voxvendors "lies". It appears that Voxvendor is not a liar.. (although he is a bit of a sensationalist) *smiles*....he did get moron and idiot mixed up, but thats not really classified as a lie....and it was subtle as they do pretty much mean the same thing. Guilt was admited about the "Shut-up" thing... .... After reading this, he and i can't really find any more discrepencies with top links to older messages and everything is pretty much how it was said originally....... The Following written by VOXVENDOR-> I still am stepping down, but I must address the title of this thread, as others may get improper ideas about my character...It would be in good faith that the writer erases it now that we have got this all out in the open air.

I still don't like salsa

How could you not like salsa??? I think that you are comparing salsa to inferior dips, like un heated cheese dip. Its probably just user error in you dipping style.

"It would be in good faith that the writer erases it now that we have got this all out in the open air. "

Actually, it would have been in good faith had you posted what I originally said which was "put up or shut up".

"and Im stepping down from this bantering...."

"I still am stepping down"

My headline hear is inaccurate? ;) You are STILL posting.

"and it was subtle as they do pretty much mean the same thing. Guilt was admited about the "Shut-up" thing"

I admitted guilt to posting something that said "put up or shut up" NOT "shut up". The two statements mean very different things. Shut up would mean just to shut up, something I wouldn't say. But if you wanna "debate" the value of something, and make reference to your "audiophile quality work", and not offer up any of this work for others to judge by, then the statement "put up or shut up" certainly has some validity. I offer up examples of my work all the time. It is the bases of my opinions and other statements gaining respectability on this BBS.

"See how i edited my above post to sonusman, can you believe, i got idiot and moron mixed up again.... so close, yet is there is a difference... At least this time i went back and fixed it."

I never go back and edit a post, unless it is to fix a spelling error. EVER!!! If I misquote someone, I take responsibility for that by leaving my original post for all to see my mistake. If I make a statement that is false, I don't change it to make it right. I may post again, but if I am corrected by someone in something I say, then that is what happens. You have no need to change or edit your posts do you? You made the statement that I called you a idiot. I did not and started this thread in relation to that. Fair is fair. Don't misquote me.

"This was good, engineering advice from a person who gets distortion out of mackie boards, yet no one else has this problem.."

Yet, others do! The main reason many of my peers sold their Mackies!

Another point about this statement, the other outright "lie" is, I NEVER anywhere said I got "distortion" out of a Mackie. I have said the master output craps out at around +7, and I will stand behind that statement. I am accustomed to consoles that will push out +16-+18 levels before I start hearing funky stuff, and that still doesn't really compete with the +20-+22 that excellent consoles will deliver. Try running your Mackie that high......:)

So, to wrap it all up, I don't feel I need to back down from any of this. You consistently misquoted me, and took statements I said out of context. I felt the need to nuetralize this. Thus, this threads headline.

I stated earlier that you need to pay attention to what I post before you go trying to slam what I say. Don't try to hide behind the old "I am not slamming, I am stating my opinion" crap here! You know as well as I do that you are trying to slam my opinions and statements. Again, don't be a moron by trying to deny that, because if one was to follow the original thread is question, and actually READ what I posted, then READ what you posted in response, they would find that you are indeed being a sensationalist liar!

A 400b eh? A horribly noisy old console. That thing pre-dates Mackie. Try something newer by Soundcraft to compare your Mackie to, and again, unless you have mixed on a Ghost, you are not very capable of making ANY comparison between the consoles. A point I keep making........try not to misquote it!

...two men enter..one man leaves....Two Men Enter.. One Man Leaves....TWO MEN ENTER..ONE MAN LEAVES...

On a serious note, all other shit aside, Im a control room engineer, Not into live sound... Why do you or for that matter, anyone push a board that hard, Is that common practice?.... Why not use more power amps and keep your board running at "cruising speed"..... (This is a serious inquiry, im not being sarcastic)...
