I just got, I think, a pretty good deal on a new vox cambridge reverb (the little 30 watt combo with 10 " celestian). I got it for $169. It's not much for power but I think has great tones for the studio. Anybody ever try one out?

I disagree. Mind you, he's talking about the Cambridge, not the smaller and cheaper Pathfinder.
I think $169 is a very good price.
In The Netherlands the Cambridge would cost like €385.

sorry youre right im thinking of the pathfinder, which i thought was junk cause i love voxes (but cant afford an ac15 or 30).... sorry about that.

That's a good price. Useful amp for recording or as a practice amp. Forget live situations though.

Admittedly,I'm a little wierd- clean solid body sounds, no distortion, vintage chunky rythym, full chords, but for the sounds I want, VOX AC30 is one of my favorite small combo amps. It's what I used until I got POD and went through a clean power amp. While it's a bit of the proverbial 1 trick pony, I like it a lot. $200 is a common price so you got a good deal IMHO- Richie
