Voice recording not working

Hello. My note 5 won't record when I try to record something. it's not showing any sound waves same thing when I try to record a video no sound too same with my whatsapp too . my other apps that have voice recording features won't record as well. I hope to get help, thank you!
 
We need more information: what kind of microphone are you trying to connect to the (Galaxy, I assume) Note 5, and how are you connecting it? USB interface? iRig adapter?
