Hey there,
Just a quick question. i've browsed the forums and havent got the solution yet so any help would be appreciated.
I've purchased a Shure SM58 for some vocal recording. It came with 1 lead. I put it through the left Mic In channel on my Tascam US-122 interface, and that through to me laptop. obviously, only the left channel is picking up the signal, and so my vocals are all the way to one side.
How to i record the vocals so they are central? A mic surely cannot be plugged into both the left and the right Mic Ins, as the mic itself has only one output.
Any help? Do i record in mono/stereo?
Also, the volume is all the way up, but i have to sing miles away from the mic or it gets distorted. but when i do this i cant hear my voice being amplified! Even though it then appears fine on playback...
help!
