Vocals sound out of place... new mic maybe?

the vocals in my songs don't sit very well in the mix. they sound somewhat out of place, or karaoke-ish. it doesn't sound like the vocals belong w/ the guitar and drums.

the instruments sound good, but when the vocals come in, you can definitely tell it's not a "pro" recording.

i've been recording with a dynamic mic, should i try a condensor? would that maybe help?
 
Could be the mic, or micing technique. Could need compression. Could need EQ. Could need to be pulled down, pushed up. Could need some reverb.

Have you tried all of those? :)

Oh yeah, and put 'quality' in front of each of those.
