I am using Sony acid to record vocals. When I listen to playback on my headphones, the vocals sound fine, but when I run the playback through commercial speakers, the audio is barely audible and sounds very staticy (if that's a word)... and somehow though very quiet - it is also peaking on every audio track that i recorded in with some vocals being high and some low pitched. Any ideas on what I could be doing wrong?

Any way we can listen to an example?

Are you mixing on headphones?

Actually, just closed acid and rebooted - seems to be working fine now - thanks for the follow up though!! I'm such a doof - should have tried this first. Sorry, I'm new to all of this.
