Vocals out of sync

Ok so i use sonar 8 and have been recording for a while now no problem. But yesterday i started recording this song with a friend of mine then stopped and put off recording for the next day(my friend's part was done, only had my part to go). Now the next day when I tried recording my part my vocals sounded out of sync with the instrumental everytime I record. I tried starting a new session with the same instrumental but still out of sync. When I tried other instrumentals everything is fine. Everything is fine with my friend's recorded vocals tho. Anybody know wats goin on? A lil help here thx.

If you are using effects on the vocals...you might be having latency issues.

Not knowing your specific information I cannot do much but guess.

You say your friend's vocals are ok....is this on the same computer with the same software?

I have not mixed the song yet so there are no effects on it and yes this is on the same computer using the same software. Everything else I record comes out fine except when I try to record my vocals on this one instrumental. Its driving me crazy...

Did you maybe hit some kind of snap or anything? Like maybe you accidently hit a snap to measure function? So it won't trigger to record till it reaches a certain part?
