Does anyone know how to eliminate the vocal track from an imported CD file in Cubase SX? Is it even possible if not any ideas on what other software might do the trick? Thanks
No, you can only try karaoke tricks that blot out the middle of the stereo image using a phasing trick. If the voice bleeds over it wont work and of course you lose all instruments panned in the middle.
www.analogx.com has a "Vocal Remover" vst plug-in that does the karaoke phasing trick.
But don't get your hopes up.... most karaoke CDs are made by using cover bands that re-do the original song.
