Hey guys, so the situation.
I've been singing with a vocal teacher for about 3 years now (Though not for the past 4 months or so) been singing with a band and just to myself for a few years too. Anyway, a few months ago (just before I left vocal training) my vocal range seemed to be not as high, but only by a semi tone or so. I just assumed I needed some rest so I gave it a rest for about a week. After that week I tried singing again and my falsetto was more or less completely gone, or when I tried to use falsetto it would sound REALLY raspy and terrible. So I gave it some more rest and tried singing lower, I then tried singing again and my entire range had gone, like heaps. and it's not as if my voice had deepened, I still couldn't hit lower notes than usual. So I booked an appointment with an ENT......no Vocal Nodules or damage what so ever.
What could do this? My falsetto is more or less gone and my general higher notes too. I'm really worried, and stressing out because of it. It seems I tried everything.
Some other information if it helps is I'm a male and 19 years old. I know your vocal range is meant to deepen as you get older but it hasn't, it's just my higher range has gone completely.
I did smoke for a while, but not excesively or for a long period of time, and I do occasionaly drink.
Any advice would help heaps, thank you for taking the time.
