vocal processor vs. multi effects unit

Vocal Processors are used alot in the real world!
I would say if you are really good at tuning in on the sound your are after then bypass the vox processor,but you will even notice that great engineers still have them, look at Madonna, Britney, and Mariah Carey they all use them and they can sing too (Yes I even gave Britney some credit.. please don't tell
). Some of the vox processors sound too fake almost perfect, but you can get some good effects that you can't get from a mulit-fx processor. I would defintely check one out at your local music store, perhaps they will let you rent one (my buddy works at one and I rent TC and digitech vocal processors all the time, whichever is available). Give it a try and if you don't like it then you only wasted the amount to rent one then hundreds for paying for one.
