Vocal dynamics in the chorus - How?

Hi guys! I came across this song on youtube and I wonder how I can get this kind of dynamics in the chorus? Also it sounds like he has recorded a backup vocal too, but do you guys think he has recorded this manually or just used a VST to copy the vocal track and pitch it down? Please guys, I really want to learn to improve the vocal dynamics in my songs, so please explain as much as possible. Maybe some of you have a link to a good guide?

actually i think he recorded the main vocal chorus track twice panned it right and left and a low harmony in the middle or maybe even two of them. The dynamics i think your hearing is a result off all the compression.

Cheers

First of all, I have to say, that guy has scary eyes. I would NOT leave him alone with my daughter......or son.

As far as the chorus is concerned, it just sounds like he doubled his voice and added a harmony that's probably doubled, too, like Chicken said. But, if he did double any vocal parts, it was most likely sung twice. Copying and pasting a vocal track accomplishes absolutely nothing other than make it louder.

When you guys say harmony.. Do you mean the low voice in the background then? do you think he panned that one too? And could you please explain further what stereo separation means?

Thank you guys :)
