the vocal cut preset is actually just a center channel extracter. In other words, anything that is NOT centered will NOT be removed. This will really effect the bass, kick and snare drums. Also, any vocals that are not centered will be left in the mix. This really degrades the quality of any song.
The result is mono, and you can't fix it. You need the centre channel extractor in Audition 1.5 to do the job any better (and even then it will never be perfect - you can't uncook a cake).

Hello again!
There are a lot of "musicians" today who keep asking about vocal removing software.
Many of them use midi files and pretend like they are playing their expensive
keyboards singing along.
We know for sure midi files are never going to sound like real music. They too!
That's why vocal remover is so wanted.
Once after big argument with midi files supporters I did my first vocal removing project.
But what they did non know is that I did not remove vocal but record every single instrument trying to make my finale mix to sound close to original.
It took off after I uploaded somewhere to show them.
They came with job offers asking about more files and asking about price.
Off course I was not interesting. It's hard job to do and if I had to estimate price it would be too expensive.
But first of all I don't want spend my free time copying what other people did before.
I do this for fun and I prefer to do my own music.
Yes, I agree. However, I am also a teacher and I use the music with the vocals ripped out to teach students/musicians how to sing on pitch, to a song they may or may not know, without the familiar vocals and melody line there. It is a very useful tool as an ear training exersize. They can practice with the music without the crutch of the vocals, then record their vocals with the track. I can play back what they've done and it is a great way to teach people how to listen, hear things they can change, and have it happen quickly.
You might wish to try the evaluation download of Audition 1.5 to see whether the Centre Channel Extractor effect is worthwhile for your purposes - if so, you could find out whether you would be eligible for an education discount on purchase.
