Virtual Guitarist problem...

I'm using VG 1...and i'm experiencing some weird problem with it. It ran perfectly fine prior to reformatting my windows. Basically, what happens is that...whenever i play any chord, the audio responds AFTER i release the chord off my keyboard. or any key pressed as well. and if i hold a key or a chord, there is no rhythm guitar...just a single note played after i release the key. how can i fix this? the inputs and outputs are setup fine.
 
All's I know is that guitar players are a dime a dozen, and you spend FAR more than a dime on that software!

Well, no...that's why I got VG...could anyone else please help me out?
