Hello there people of HR, I have a rather simple question here: What effects do people use to make their viollin sound better in the DAW or something? I have been searching on google for quite awhile now but to no avail. Like always, all answers will be much appreciated!

Cheers,
Darren

"better in the DAW or something"? Better than what? Is there something you don't like about your violin sound.....or something?

Well, basically what I mean by "better" is the echoes and reverb and all that, but I just have no idea what the configuration for it is.

For a violin to sound good you need:
a good room
a good player
a good microphone
good mike placement
before you will get anything good.

If you have those in hand, the rest becomes easier.

In the tune below, there is no eq, compression or any other effect on the violin, except for reverb. The violin comes in after about 22 seconds.

Yeah I've checked it out about a month ago, it sounded great. Thanks alot for your answer, anyways! I now have a better idea of what to take care of instead of going in circles.

Cheers,
