non compos mentis
I ran across some of my ancient rack gear this morning. Part of the "treasure" was a rack that held three 1/3 rack alesis units - a headphone amp (yawn), a micro compresser (legendary on the mojopie site),

and finally... the rare micro eq. For those too young to remember this jewel, it is a 3 band parametric eq. Anyone use one of these lately? Is it as good as a Pultec or should I use it as a garlic press?

They're all just tools and any tool can be usefull. Like you said, I bet the EQ would be GREAT as a garlic press. I don't believe it would be quite as nice as a Pultec. I still like and use my old Midiverb II.

i think the Pultec would make more of a garlic pulverizer......

but using the eq and the headphone amp together would give a nice, compressed garlic flavor to your recordings....

cheers,
wade
