Video production forum?

I'm looking for a video production forum that is similar to Home Recording.com.

Any suggestions?

I'm using a Sony HXR-MC50u camera & Sony Vegas Platinum.

I plugged a mic into the camera did a little recording, put it in to the Vegas and the sound won't play on the computer, but does when played through the camera. My audio interface is a Tascam US-1800. I keep getting error messages from Vegas telling me that the US-1800 does not support the sample or bit rate selected. I have it at 16bit/48khz. I know the Tascam supports these parameters.

Help ideas? can someone point me into the right direction?

I'm thinking that maybe the camera is recording at a different rate, and that's the problem.


Never mind......the Tascam US-1800 was turned off...........see my sig....

I got a good chuckle out of this. Thanks!!! How many times has this happened to all of us.

As for video production forums, I was kind of hoping this would turn into one for music videos, but it hasn't really caught on. There is a fairly active forum at Videomakers.com.

Yeah, I use to be a computer tech, and the 1st thing I'd always ask is "is it plugged in? is it turned on?"

It'd be cool if this did start catching on for music videos.
