Brad New member Feb 12, 2000 #2 I would go with Rik Emmett's Star Licks video. It's a bit dated, but he is a virtuoso in so many styles, you can't help but benefit from it.

He teaches basic chords like power, barre, open, 7th, etc. He teaches scales in all positions (I didn't like his method) He teaches about modes. But it's all geared towards metal. I'd get a real teacher so you can learn what you want.
