VF160 Metronome

I record my drums on my vf160 with the internal metronome but it just blends right in with my cymbals and i cant hear it at all while playing. What I want to know is, is there any way to either not hear my drums in the headphones while i am recording them, or is there a way to change the sound of the click so its easier to hear?

If I'm not mistaken, you can bring the faders down on the channel(s) your drums are being recorded to. The level being recording is set by the trim adjustment at the top of the channel. The fader level is just for monitoring and final mix purposes. Be careful that your mics don't pick up the click. I've had that problem when recording acoustic guitar.

Im an idiot. You were right about the faders i never even thought about it. Here Ive been recording on this thing for 4 years and never even thought to just turn down the faders....

In addition to working the faders, you can apply EQ to the click channel. Simply select channel 16, and add a good dose of low end/mid eq. The click will sound more thumpy, and will come throught the mix while you play...
