VF 160 data to Pro Tools

I saw a previous thread here that stated you could save program data to a CD and then import it to a DAW/PC.

Can you do this for a Mac using Pro Tools as well?

Sorry for my ignorance of what must by now be ancient history.

I'm not sure about that Charles, but whenever necessary I dump whatever I've recorded on my VF16 into ProTools real time without problem. Of course, here in the I-want-it-done-yesterday US of A that may be an unsatisfactory approach. Since Fostex uses a proprietary file format I would think that ProTools would not recognize the data. That means you must save it as a wav file. I believe ProTools can read wav so it should be possible.

Yup,
WAV files are the way to go. The manual is pretty good about telling you how to save data as WAV files. Protools has no problem with reading the data. I exchange files like this with my bass player all the time.
