VF-08 SCSI backup

Do any of you VF users back up your data using the SCSI card? I'm looking at adding a scsi card to my VF-08 (If I can get one cheap) If so, what do you back up to? Would an Iomega zip drive work?

My vf doesn't have a built-in CD burner, so I've been backing up to an external burner...which is not only slow, but the settings don't get saved.

I ended buying the scsi card on ebay....

now I need to figure out the best media to back up song data.

ZIP drive? Jaz drive? How much data does a typical song require?

(typically 4 minutes, 8, 16 or sometimes 24 tracks?
