very weird problem

I have my VST Multitrack ASIO driver for Cubase SX set with the "ASIO directx Full duplex driver." This works along fine with my TerratechEWS88D sound card. However, after maybe ten plays/records/etc...the sound will distort really bad...i go into the VST multitrack again..."switch" it to the ASIO directx full duplex driver, and the problem is fixed for another 10 listens etc...this problem really has me stumped...anyone?

It sounds like you are running out of memory. Check your system resources, your RAM and your virtual memory settings. Sorry I don't have a better answer but that's my best guess.
