Thamx a lot man. I can turn up that piano. I'm going to wait until I get my SG home and re-record the leads before I re-mix this. When I do, I'll listen closely to the piano and probably bring it up. Thanx.

Thanx. Cool. I think it's cool to see a lot of AC fans chiming in and saying they remember this tune. I think it's a great tune and I hope I did it justice. I also appreciate a compliment even more when it comes from someone that has "Nymph" in her name. :)

HA! Cool man. Unfortunately, I bet they gave that to him for his feeble attempts at acting and trying to become a mainstream nice guy. No way he got that for the only 4 good years of career back in the early 70's. I'm not really much of a fan-boy though. I'm a bigger GregL fan than I am an Alice Cooper fan at this point. So I'm more impressed that you thought of me while you were there. :)

Haha, well, thanks for that. I did scribble my name on a blank star with a pen. :D

But you see that record on the star? That means he got recognized by the Hollywood Walk of Fame Star conglomerate, or whoever oversees those things, for his contributions to music. Some stars have a TV or a film projector or theatre masks or whatever. The record means music.

I think it's a pretty big deal for the people that get their names on a Hollywood star, but then again, some real jokes are out there too, like Godzilla and Kermit the Frog.

Ah, I didn't know that. Well, that's cool. Not to be too cynical, but I still bet he got it for the wrong music. I'm sure Hollywood hated him until he collaborated with people like Slash and put out a bunch of corporate crap in the 90's. Either way, I shouldn't talk. I'm just jealous. :)

Slash has a star too. I seen it with my own eyes!

There were quite a few stars that were no brainers to me - Marilyn Monroe, Michael Jackson, Frank Sinatra, Elizabeth Tayor, etc. You know, legends.

Then there were some that were pretty iffy. Scarlett Johannson? Yeah she's smoking hot, but she's what, 30? Does she really deserve a star yet? Chris Farley? How do those two have stars, but Phil Spector or Jerry Seinfeld doesn't? That's what makes the whole thing silly to me. Neat to look at, totally meaningless.
 
I wonder if it's like the Oscars, where agents lobby to get their clients a star. Like everything else, it gets watered down and cheapened. Hollywood Schmollywood. :D

I really don't know the selection process. I don't care that much. It was just neat to walk around Hollywood. It was pretty interesting though to walk along the sidewalk reading star after star. There's like 3000 of them.

it is like that and possibly even chintzier .... for one thing they have to pay to get a start. The cost of the star and installing it are on the recipient.
So it may be you can basically buy a star ..... if you're a star.

I actually recorded them a few days ago. Just got around to mixing it down yesterday. Love the SG. Strange thing is, I actually find it easier to play it standing up. I always have to sit down to record with the Strat. I can reach those high frets easily now and it siiiiiings.......Love it!
 
Nice job,

I love the tone of the snare, very pleasant. Is that an Epi SG ? Sounds excellent for a cheap guitar. Nice piano sound too.

Ha, nice bite. Good raw P-90 lead tone. Sounds great to me. The only thing I really got to say about it is I think your bends fall a little flat. It's a playing thing. I'm sure you're just not used to the guitar yet. I think you need to reach just a hint farther.

Yeah, I noticed it too. It was the first thing I did with the guitar, I'll re-track that again. I'm working on a new tune right now and I'm using the SG for all the tracks. By the time I finish that, I'll probably be more comfortable with the guitar and I'll re-track this.
