Whats up. ive played guitar for 10 yrs, im 21 yrs old and dont know my dick from my asshole when it comes to home recording. I can play multiple instruments ( piano harmonica bass) but enough about me already.

Im a complete moron and need to know how i can start recording off of my Dell Inspiron 5100 Lap top. I bought it last yr for x mass so its faily new.

Im poor and am in college, so lets keep this cheap.

Im into all different sounds, mostly trippy music like pinkfloyd, radio head, broken social scene.

Can any one help?

You'll need to have recording software like cakewalk's Home Studio or Sonar or cubase etc., but to start try the freeware "Audacity". I think you can find it at hitsquad.com
