very beginner question...

ive been hounding the other forums for a while, but with no success...

i have 3 mics plugged into a p.a., its a phonic power pod 1062...its not ideal but it will do. i also have the main box bit for my soundcard, its a creative audigy 2 z5...and im using cubasis software. i thought it was a software problem, but i dont think it is now, anyway im not getting a mic singnal in the program. i was wondering if anyone could tell me exactly what leads should be connected to what and everything?

the hook ups should be simple. just run 1/4 TRS from the R of the mixer to the R imput of the soundcard (use a 1/4 to 1/8 adaptor if needed). Do the same with the left channel. One thing you may want to check is that in windows you have the line imput selected and not the mic input. i don't know if this is an issue with the audigy but it may be. Check this in the control panel under sounds. Also if the audigy has its own settings software, check that as well to make sure the right inputs are selected.
