Version 3.0 & 'mono' recording

I was using ver. 2.3, and then upgraded to the new ver. 3.0. In doing this I noticed the ability to record in "mono" has disappeared. In the 'settings' function on the recording vu-meter there used to be a radio button for 'mono'. That is what is actually missing.

So….I clicked on the option "stereo  two mono tracks". After doing this I clicked on the "rec - new" button on the recording vu-meter. Now there are left & right channel options allowing to "not record from this channel" for either one…..therefore allowing 'mono' recording.

Is this just the way the new version allows for 'mono' recording, or is something goofy going on with my stuff? I'm assuming this is the way the new version treats 'mono' recording, but I saw no reference to it in the newest version of the manual.

Can someone clarify this?

Thanks

Perhaps it was you asked this question over at fasoft forum? Flavio said exactly as you noted - stereo as two tracks then disarm the unused track to get a mono recording. Why? Beats me!
Flavio is a one man band and he is always trying new stuff. If enough guys on the forum make a stink about needing a mono button in the recording dialog box,I bet it would re-appear.

Uh, you'll also see on Flavio's board that I complained about that, too. He fixed it in the newest build (1178). Just download it and install over your current version.

Mono is back in and the build is very stable. He seems to have fixed a number of problems.

Look in "help - about". I think thats where it is.
