Vegas Pro 10?

Does anyone use Vegas Pro 10 strictly as a DAW? The original version of Vegas (which I still use) was intended to be a multitrack editor, but it has now become more focused on video. I was wondering if it's worth upgrading to the newest version or if it's now useless as a multi-track audio editor.
Any advice or experience would be appreciated! Thanks.

I love Vegas for video editing, but the lack of midi is a serious flaw in a $600 program these days.

I would switch to it in a heartbeat but I wont do as they want and pay another $300 for Acid to handle midi plus have to deal with running 2 separate programs.
