Vector format files?

I'm getting ready to send in all my artwork for my album, and the cd's are silkscreened and therefore the files must be in vector format. I'm also supposed to state which PMS colors I want to use.....or something. I don't know too much about this kinda stuff. Can anyone help me out? If not they're gonna charge me an extra 60 bucks!!

Vector format is a graphics file outputed by programs like Adobe Illustrator and Freehand.

The lines are mathematically defined, so they are crystal-sharp at any size or resolution unlike bitmap lines that can appear jaggy if you haven't set it up right.

PMS colors are specific solid spot colors defined in the Pantone Color Chart:

Any program like Illustrator, Freehand or Photoshop has them already in their color libraries.
