I am interested in getting a V AMP..I am a newbie who has played a guitar for many years but put it down for several years and now want to fool around with it again...My question: Does the V AMP2 have all the same sounds as the origional V AMP plus more sounds and effects or is it different...

if you go here :

http://www.v-amp.com/3_support/3_support.cfm?mid=3&smid=2&lang=eng

you'll see samples of both..it seems to me that they have different sounds or maybe the sampled recordings just sound different?

But common sense says that the 2 would have everything that the origional had plus more features...someone please state some opinions other than : "they both suck"

thanx

I bought a Vamp1 and ordered the eprom chip to upgrade it. It has all the same sounds and effects as the Vamp1 but it doubles the number of amps you can use from 16 to 32. It also adds a few other controls, like a presence, and some EQ setups. Overall I really like some of the sounds, but the high gain sounds are noisy. Its a fun lil unit to play with and the price is right.
good luck.
