Using Sonar for surround?

Is this possible? I have a soundcard with 8 outs and I wonder if there is a plugin or something else that let's you mix your music in surround.

Do I need an converter for AC3, Dolby Digital or Dolby Surround? Is it software or do I need dedicated hardware?

Anybody know about something?



The reason I'm asking is that I'm adding sound and music to a movie, and thought it would be nice to mix it in surround.

i haven't seen anything in sonar 2 that says it does surround sound, but maybe u can import it the sound file to nuendo or if u have the sonic foundry plug in to vegas to make it 5.1
